I was pleased to find out the 2.0 software on the iPhone offered Geotagging however, I was rather upset to find out that I would be unable to use this feature. Why might you ask? Well I have 2 ways to get the Photos off my iPhone the first is via the mail.app program on the iPhone, but the problem with using this feature is that it strips off all the EXIF data, including geotagging data. Does anyone else find this extremely stupid? Why even tag the information on the phone if your just going to strip the tags off as soon as you email the photo.
The second method? Import the photos into iPhoto. But wait! You guessed it theres a problem with this method as well. There is a small bug in iPhoto while it leaves the Geotags alone it strips off the references so services such as Flickr have no clue what Hemisphere the photo was taken, whether it be northern or southern, eastern or western.
