Yep, I did it, I finally bought myself a new car, I’ve been wanting to get something a bit more reliable than my CRX, No I’m not getting rid of my Project car but its no longer my Daily driver. Now its back to what its supposed to be, a Project car. =P
I’ve only had my new car for a few days now so give me a few more days and I’ll write a good detailed post about what I like and dislike aobut this car. So far my Likes outweigh my dislikes 10 fold.
You hear right apparently GM released a El Camino wannabe called the…. well, thats up for debate at the moment. Apparently GM has everything but the name figured out. The new car/truck will be a rear wheel drive sedan modeled after the Australian “Utes” (Utility Vehicles).
One thing we do know is that the car/truck will not even be a chevy the vehicle will be released as a Pontiac under there G8 line. the car/truck combo will feature a 6 liter LS3 V8 from the G8 GT sedan, which will be pushing 361 horsepower and 385 lbs feet of torque.
Currently the only thing this nifty truck needs is a name, GM will be launching a website for the public to help decide on a name for the El Camino replacement. I’ll be sure to post the link as soon as I track it down, feel free to toss it in the comments if you discover it before I do.
